2018 Awards
We are thrilled to announce the early results of yet another busy awards season.
TERRA OLIVO 2018
We have just been awarded two significant awards at the 2018 Terra Olivo competition in Israel (June 12-13). Reserva has been named both Best of Italy, and Best Organic, from among dozens of the world’s top olive oils.
The event last year garnered over 683 entrants from 60 regions, and is widely considered one of the world’s foremost olive oil competitions.
NYIOOC
This year, Domenica Fiore has been awarded at the New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC). Our Reserva received the Gold Medal Organic Medium Blend, followed by Olio Monaco with the Gold Medal Organic Medium Canino, and Novello with the Silver Medal Organic Medium Blend.
The 6th annual New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC) was held April 23rd through April 26th, 2018.
This premier event draws more entries from more countries than any other and features the most renowned judges from around the world to identify the year’s best of the best.
This year, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition had a record-setting of 1,000 entries from 27 countries, judged by a panel of 18 expert judges from 13 countries, making it, by far, the world’s largest olive oil competition with both the highest number of entries and countries represented.
Entries are placed into 24 categories including organic. non-organic, blends and monovarietals, Northern and Southern Hemispheres and by intensity. The competition is widely regarded as the most prestigious of all the olive oil competitions worldwide.
Oil China International Olive Oil Competition
The 13th annual 2017 Oil China International Olive Oil Competition, held this year in Beijing, has awarded Domenica Fiore olive oils with one Gold medal for Reserva and Silver medals for Monaco, Novello, Veritas, and Electus.
The Oil China International Olive Oil Competition dates back to 2005 and it has become an important international exhibition of edible oil. Renowned for attracting professional purchasers, distributors and audiences, Oil China has gained the attention of edible oil related corporations around the globe.
EVO International Olive Oil Contest
On May 19th, the Archaeological Park of Paestum in Southern Italy became the setting for the award ceremony of the third edition of the EVO International Olive Oil Contest (previously D-IOOC), led by Antonio G. Lauro.
Fifty-five percent of the oils evaluated in the competition were monovarietal, as 156 different olive cultivars were presented. About 45 percent of participants came from Italy. This event gave participants the unique opportunity to promote their olive oils while offering olive oil enthusiasts a unique venue where they were able to take part in the exciting atmosphere of the competition, follow seminars, attend guided olive oil tastings, and learn about olive oil.
Domenica Fiore has been awarded 4 medals during the EVO International Olive Oil Contest: Gold for Novello and Monaco, Silver for Reserva and Veritas.
We are incredibly grateful to have been recognized by these prestigious competitions and panel of judges in such a meaningful way and we look forward to participating once again next year.
